BOOKING YOUR SESSION:
I make every effort to accommodate your desired session date.  To ensure greatest availability, please call or email 1-2 months before your desired date.  Keep in mind that all holiday orders much be in by November 15th when booking your Holiday Sessions.  If you plan on booking a newborn session please contact me BEFORE your baby is born.  A $75.00 deposit will hold your session date and is non-refundable.  I will gladly re-schedule your session if necessary!

THE NITTY GRITTY:
This is where we get to really kick back and HAVE FUN!  One of my favorites things about photography is planning out a session and then bringing it to life!  Do you have a great idea?  A special prop or location in mind?  Let me know and we will try to incorporate it into the game plan.

Once your session is booked I will contact you regarding your “wants” for the session.  Ask yourself  “what would I LOVE to see in these images?”…and then don’t be afraid to tell me!  We will discuss the perfect location, wardrobe, props, timing, etc.  I have a growing collection of funky chairs, tutus, and other vintage goodies so don’t be afraid to ask to use anything you have seen in other images!

I am a natural light, lifestyle photographer.  What EXACTLY does that mean anyways?  I try to capture NATURAL images of you and your family being YOU.  Sessions are free flowing and fun allowing family members to interact with each other.   I will not try to pose you in ridiculous positions or ask you to say “cheese”…although I may ask your kids to say something silly to bring out the smiles!  I don’t use elaborate studio settings or bring studio lighting with me on location.  Keeping that in mind…it is best to book your session in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the afternoon sun. If you are booking an indoor session we will discuss the lighting in your home at various times of day and come up with an optimal plan.

Once our session is complete you can expect to see your gallery of 20-30 images within 2 weeks.  Please visit the “CLIENTS” section of my website and enter the password I have provided.  Your gallery will remain active for 10 days.  You and your family members are free to place your order at any time during those 10 days using the shopping cart feature on the website.  I am happy to help you with ANY of your ordering questions.  If you are interested in storyboards or cards/announcements, I will have several options available for you as samples within your gallery.  You must order during your 10 day time frame.  Should you choose to have your gallery re-loaded there will be a $50.00 hosting fee.

FAMILY and CHILDREN SESSIONS:

Family and children sessions typically run 1-2 hours.  It is never a bad idea to pack special treats (bribes!), wet wipes, and a favorite toy.   Outfit changes are fine with me as long as your children will tolerate it. We will spend the majority of the session playing and just having fun.  You can expect to play lots of silly games with your kids!  I may even “steal” your child away for a little bit of alone time…sometimes a bit of independence provides just the right smile!  Don’t hesitate to ask for help in coordinating your family’s “look” for the session.  Several stores such as Gymboree, Gap, Mini Boden do a fantastic job of coordinating clothing for children.  Try to avoid slogan shirts and overbearing prints…but HAVE FUN!  Your family has SO much more personality than white polos and jeans!

NEWBORN SESSIONS:

Newborn sessions should be booked BEFORE the child is born to ensure that I can work you into my schedule.  The session should be held in the first 2 weeks of life.  This is the best time to capture those “sleepy, curled up” images.  I am happy to come to you to document this amazing time in your life!  Sessions typically run 2-4 hours.  That gives us plenty of time to cuddle, feed, change, and rock your baby into sleepy oblivion! Don’t worry about clothing as we will want to capture plenty of naked shots.  Feel free to suggest special blankets and hats that have meaning to you.  Etsy and Ebay are a wonderful resources for finding keepsakes that look fabulous in photos.  I also have a large collection of hats and other props that I am happy to bring to you.
