sugar high.
The girls have had an early morning camp all week. Yesterday we had to be out the door by 7:30….so why not EMBRACE that early morning with donuts (only wish I could eat them). Donuts for my kids are right up there with Sunshine and Rainbows. And maybe even a pot of gold. They were happy campers. Especially Mr. Makes a Mess. He’s been in a funk this week so it was fun to see him thoroughly enjoying himself!
It has just been me and the boys this week in the mornings…but Miss Middle was happy to tag along for donuts since her camp started a bit later than her sisters. (Does anyone else think she suddenly looks WAY too big?????)
And of course…this one. Donuts are his main love language.
We had a busy day that followed our little outing. Camp pick up….violin lessons….a doctor’s apt. And then at 3:00 I got a call from a friend asking if I could fill in for a camp counselor at Kids Kamp this weekend who had gotten sick. This is The Brainiac’s first over night camp experience…I thought she’d be thrilled that I was coming along. Well….she wasn’t. Her rule: Absolutely NO Hugging. I promised her that I would just zip her up in my sleeping bag and snuggle her all night long
After the phone call I went into HYPER DRIVE getting things packed up and ready for CAMP! I have AMAZING memories of church camp EVERY summer and I’m thrilled to get to participate with our new (old) church family. Flashlights…sleeping bags…swimming pools…skits and pranks…mess hall…quiet times…giggling girlies…and SUGAR…BRING IT ON!!
and whoopsie cushions and fake spiders and those funny nose, glasses, mustaches….just one silly prank for me…please!
It sounds like you had a CRAZY DAY!
