OCTOBER GIVEAWAY!!

Boo to you!!  I’ve had this giveaway planned for quite some time.  But the whole “keeping my house perfect” thing has gotten in the way of my posting it!  Every time I went to set it up to snap a few pictures we got a phone call for a house showing.  So yesterday when we walked in the door from one of those showings…I grabbed my stuff and got to work!

Here in Kansas OCTOBER has been GLORIOUS!!!  I can’t remember a more beautiful FALL!  Things are turning golden…the sun is shining…and Halloween is just around the corner.   Pre-kids I was never a huge fan of Halloween.  I despise all things dark and sinister.  I’m more of a rainbows and puffy hearts kind of gal.  But kids have a way of showing you the magic in every season.  And who can resist four of them dressed up in silly costumes on a sugar high??

LEAVE A COMMENT TO ENTER TO WIN!   Make sure I have a way to contact you, you crazy people!

GIVEAWAY WILL ONLY REMAIN OPEN UNTIL MONDAY, OCTOBER 16th so the winner can enjoy his/her goodies before October is over!

HAPPY OCTOBER friends!

In my dream house I would have a library (a beautifully decorated one). I really like this set for this month’s giveaway!

  2. Kristin   –

I’m really, really hoping we will be able to move next year…..DH is not so sure it will work out so we shall see. But I am full of ideas of what I would love to have! Most important, it will be in the country, on acreage. Everything else is secondary. But a big porch and a mudroom are way up there on the list!

  3. Ann B   –

My dream house would be one of those farm houses that have wrap around porches, tons of great wood floors and woodwork in the house…I love old houses!!

  4. Nikki   –

My dream house would have a fenced in back yard, a master bathroom, an eat in kitchen and a separate playroom for the kids so I don’t have to stress about keeping it clean so much…just shut the door and come back to it tomorrow!

  5. Jaime S   –

I wrap around porch! I don’t have one now and probably won’t ever as my hubby and I only want a small house when our kids are grown! LOL But that’s OK-I enjoy looking at others and occasionally sit on on some friends’ porches!! :)

Love the October giveaway! Especially that fun banner. My dream house would have white woodwork with a built in buffet, dark wood floors in as many rooms as possible and a wood burning fireplace. A porch and patio out back would be icing on the cake. Oh, and 4 bedrooms up so the sleepers can stay asleep when the rest of the house is awake. I am so over the split level…never. again.

  7. Cara   –

    What a fun giveaway!
My dream house would have a slide for the kids to get from the upstairs to the downstairs!

  8. Heidi   –

    Cute!
My dream house is out in the country with big trees and lots of land. We are right on the edge of town in a newly developed area (with no trees) so for now I sit on our porch swing and look at the corn fields and pretend I’m in the country. :)

  9. Amber   –

Love the banner! I has always wanted a large porch. I also would love an updated kitchen & baths, master suite w/ wlk-in closets, wood burning fire place and lots of charm :) Not asking for too much…hehe

  10. Kelley   –

my dream house…out in the country with a couple of acres for the kids to run; a wrap around porch with a huge porch swing; a large mud room and a huge basement full of games and fun things for the kids ans their friends to do.

  11. Jen W.   –

My dream house would have three things we don’t have right now—a mud-room, a pantry and a laundry chute :)

  12. Amanda   –

I just moved moved into my dream house…or it will be when its completely done. I am so blessed.

  13. Julie   –

My dream house would include a HUGE kitchen as we are a familiy of 8 and also a sewing/craft room to call my own!

When we built our house 15 years ago, we only had two kids…and thought we were done having any more! Guess God had other plans for our family!

    Thanks for a fun giveaway!
    Julie

I second the big porch & mudroom. And it should also come with a housekeeper!!

  15. Kass   –

PuraVida is my dream house! A cozy spot to share with family and friends, and most Importantly, a welcoming spot for my little family of four to make amazing memories!

  16. Sarah   –

  17. Kym   –

We have just bought our dream 20 acres in Portland, Australia. It’s a gorgeous farm high on Mt Clay overlooking the ocean! Can’t wait to move in & watch the Whales cruising past! Hubby loves the ocean & I’m a country girl, bliss!

  18. Amy Bays   –

I’m right with you! I like to Halloween fun and cute! Not bloody and scary! LOL Super cute Halloween items! (P.S.) Hope your house sells soon!

  19. Kim   –

You have to tell us where you got the cards for the banner. I love it and would really like to make it if I don’t win :) My dream house would have lots of land, but not be too far from shopping, restaurants, etc. I have a 2 story family room, that I would definitely not do again. A mudroom and large front porch would be icing on the cake.

  20. Julie B.   –

I’ve only ever lived with my parents or rented but THIS WEEK we are sending in paperwork to see if we qualify for a home loan…so excited!!! :) My dream home would be someplace with a backyard the kids can play in, a separate bedroom for everyone, a designated craft/sewing space for me, and a garage for my husband to tinker in (and a place to put all his gear, since our current apartment bedroom has become fishing pole central!).

  21. Chelsea   –

We just built a house two years ago and the only thing I wish I would have been able have done would’ve been a basement, but financially it wasn’t in the cards. I do love the single floor we have with kids, but basements are nice and can help with energy consumption/storm shelter.

  22. Becky   –

I am a huge fan of Halloween…not the scary stuff, but the fun themed costumes, crafts, and treats. It is one of my favorite times of the yesr.

Good luck on finding a new home! My dream home would have a secret playroom or mediaroom with a hidden doorway (preferably hidden in a bookcase…I can dream, right?). It’s something that I have always wished for. I love what you did with the girls playroom. That little doorway is just perfect and opens up to their magical little space.

    Love your blog!

  23. margaret mclellan   –

I live in my ideal house, a 110 year old Victorian, but I want a bigger new kitchen, a wrap around porch with part screened in, and a swimming pool for the grandkids to enjoy.

My dreamhouse would have a big room connected to a large sun room and patio for entertaining. Large walk in closets are a must. However, if I had young children I would want a locker area next to the back door so that each child had their own place to hang up their backpacks, coats and house their winter hats and gloves.
