In all honesty….I wasn’t feeling the spirit of Halloween today.  My mind is racing with a thousand things right now and I really just felt like Halloween was “one more thing”.  But as the day progressed…the magic began to wear off on me.  The kids’ excitement was contagious.   They were so excited to wear their costumes.  The Brainiac being the family planner…chose to wear a costume repeat this year.  ”I like it and it still fits”…she said.  Love that girl!  Miss Middle always chooses something pink and fluffy!  Super Sam was thrilled with my purchase from TJ Maxx this year.  And Danny didn’t mind the hand me down lion suit one bit!

We grabbed dinner with neighbors potluck style and then headed out with friends.  I snapped a few pictures in the back yard on the way out the door.  And when I saw this image through my view finder…I smiled BIG.   THIS is Halloween and this is the magic my kids will remember!

looks like you all had a great time…we had 2 trick or treaters so guess I have to eat the left over candy (;-)…wish your kids could come to my house for Halloween… know you are busy but like you said, “the magic of it all was worth it.” Happy Halloween!

Oh, I can so relate to your “just one more thing” thoughts in my head sometimes, and then God gives me a moment, much like your dancing Garden Fairy and I realize its all about them and the memories and fun times, not about me or my to do lists. Its so easy to get wrapped up in the things to do and miss out on the things going on. Cute trick or treat pics!!

The Cooper Clan is simply adorable…. each and every one of them! Love all of their costumes…love the excitement in their faces!! I was feeling a bit overwhelmed yesterday too…but you are so right about what it is all about in the end. Thanks for the reminder:)
