AUGUST GIVEAWAY!

I’ve had this entire giveaway all planned out since last month….but switched gears at the last second.  Which caused me to be a bit late to the party.  But let’s celebrate August anyways…who cares if it is half over ;)

One week from today my little girls will start out on the new adventure of another school year.  I adore school supplies.  Just like Oprah…I firmly believe there isn’t much better than a new 64 pack of fresh Crayolas.  I wanted to offer up something fun and fresh that would evoke the start of new journey…without getting too cheesy with the “paper and crayons” routine.

But I have a serious weakness for paper products.  {sorry lovely trees…I just can’t seem to help myself!}

1.  chalkboard frame with paper clips.

2. journal for your thoughts.

3. Katie Daisy box of cards.

4. a fresh address book.

5. woodsy colored pencils.

This might be my favorite giveaway yet {although I say that every month}.  Here’s a bit more info on each of the gifts!

I turned this frame into a chalkboard so you can leave yourself (or someone you love) little notes.  Tiny embellished clothespins hold notes, business cards, or reminders.  The frame has an easel back as well as a back hanger and can be hung/propped up in either direction.  This would be PERFECT to use as a monthly calendar with a printable such as THIS, THIS, or THIS.

Katie Daisy is crazy gifted.  I love her artwork and love this boxed set of “give away anytime” cards.  There are four varieties included (I used one for display in the frame).

The colored pencils rocked my world.  I could color all afternoon with these for sure.

The journal was purchased and embellished by me with a bit of lace and flowers.  The address book had plenty of personality all on its own!

You know the drill!  Leave a comment about what YOU would put in that frame…and you’ll be entered to win!

CONTEST WILL STAY OPEN UNTIL 9PM WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17TH.

    Oh wow! such loveliness!!
I would put a picture of three little precious children who are living in Ethiopia with their parents as missionaries working at a school there. Their mum is a wonderful friend of mine who I miss so much as she has lived overseas for much of the past 5 years. The family visited australia for a few months this year to welcome their baby sister into the world but have returned to Addis a month ago and are so far away again. I have a gorgeous photo of the three blondies their mum sent me and I would love it to adorn this frame!

    thanks for the opportunity!

  74. Krystina Bartnik   –

I would leave the frame pretty much as it, but put a picture of my girls and their Daddy in it. He works 2 jobs – sometimes doubles and on those days they don’t get to see him. I think this would be so cute to put a picture of them in it, leave it in our kitchen, and he could even write a little note on it when he comes home late at night, and is already at work when they wake up in the morning. As for the clothespins maybe he could clip the little bags of candy he brings home for them ;) Either way- the frame is super cute and so adorable! Great job!

  75. Jessica   –

I would put a picture of our little one we are adopting from Ethiopia. We have really enjoyed your blog and following
    your adoption.

I would of course put a picture of my son and daughter in the frame and hang it in the kitchen!

  80. Audrey   –

This is possibly the best giveaway I’ve ever seen. I adore Katie Daisy and wouldn’t change the frame at all!

  81. Nicole Hughes   –

I would leave the frame just as it is. What a great quote! A friend reminder every day to slow down because the biggest pleasures are often, the most simple. in the butterfly clips, I would try to rotate photos taken in my travels. Love!

  82. Angela H   –

Jenn – I don’t think I have ever entered your contest before but could not resist, first because Mr. D got me a big framed piece of art we saw during our trip to California for my birthday and guess what it is …the words to “you are my sunshine,” one of my favorite songs and one I have sung to little E many many times (you will love it). I also had to enter because my sweet boss lost his wife to cancer two years ago and he told me today that she most exhibits her spirit to him now through butterflies as they were her very favorite creature. We had a long discussion on butterflies because I shared with him that we took little E to the butterfly exhibit at Powell Gardens yesterday, it was so magical watching him become enchanted by these creatures. My picture for the frame would be E carefully and proudly holding a Monarch Butterfly (the correct way so as not to damage her wings) with a big smile on his face taken at the gardens yesterday on one of the prettiest summer days we have had yet!

  83. Jenn McQuate   –

Hoping this month will be my lucky month! XXX

I LOVE the frame for this months giveway! I would frame a picture of my husband and I, I have the perfect spot for it in my house:)

  86. Allison C   –

I think I would put a goal I would like to set for our family – a new one for each season and leave inspiring notes on the frame to help us reach the goal!! Thanks for the chance to give this bundle a new home :)

  87. ASH   –

What adorable stuff! I would put this verse in the frame:
“God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end” Ecc. 3:11

  88. Paige   –
