ready to officially move into my new craft room.  I am SO excited to finally have a crafting spot again in the house.  We have been working on this project for months…with the holidays, traveling, and the expense of celebrating…we just couldn’t seem to get it done.  All that is left are the baseboards.  They are painted and drying and will be ready to be measured and cut tomorrow!  Can I get a WOOHOO??

A little sneak of the space so far.  I’m so excited that my fabric storage unit just barely fit (with literally ONE inch to spare) against the back wall!  We tore the built in desk out of the family room, painted it, and installed it in this room.  We also tore out a tv built in that was robbing us of valuable space in our storage closet.  Mr. P handily managed to salvage the lumbar from the tv built in to give me a shelf above my desk and to make shelving in the closet in the craft room…what a guy

We have been simultaneously working on our downstairs family room/play room too.  Many of the toys are now housed in the girl’s playroom upstairs.  But the big toys (kitchen) and common toys (blocks, Legos, puzzles, Little People) are still downstairs.  Until recently I had a small workspace in the basement and the rest was a kid free-for-all.  We decided to claim an adult space down there too.   So we are making a nice, cozy, little spot to watch movies or curl up with a good book.  We bought a little couch/futon at World Market that coordinates with my funky aqua chairs (easier said than done!) and loaded up a freebie armoire (THANK YOU SARA!!)  I can’t wait to have it all COMPLETE so we can enjoy the space as a family!
