10 feet x 10 feet = happiness

Collages

My little craft room in the basement is just about done.  Pure bliss.  Too many long months parted from my sewing machines and pretty notions.  The re-uniting was splendiferous.  I wish I could give you the wide angle tour.  But I can barely turn around in the room (is that an indication that I have too much?)  So these pretty snippets will have to suffice.

I’m secretly hoping The Librarian or The Writer are planning a trip to come and play soon.  This little space definitely needs to be broken in.  Any takers?

This weekend we accomplished a major overhaul in the rest of our basement as well.  Lots of rearranging.  Some new “old” furniture.  Pretty new curtains (my first project in my new room).  Painting.  And quite a bit of hobbling around (still a nice shade of arctic blue).  Something about January brings out the “nester” in me.  Or maybe it’s this pregnancy.  But I’m ready for some CHANGE!

Love it!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! January has brought out the “nester” in me as well and things around here are CRAZY! Just taking a break from ripping through all my scrapbook goodies (almost all of which I am parting ways with after a four year hiatus from scrapping!!) to check in online for a moment!

Hope you are doing well!! I continue to love checking in on you and yours!
    Happy Monday! :)

OMG!! This makes me want to RUN to my room and organize. My room is even tinier than yours, more like a tunnel actually. But someday it will happen, LOL!

I’m madly in love with your craft room. As I sit here waiting for my house to sell and more and more people come walking through I wait for the day I can have a room like this all to myself where I can live happily in my piles of fabric =) Your a true inspiration!

    J,

The pics of your new craft room look amazing! I’ll bet it was wonderful to make curtains…& many more lovelies in your new space.

Now, did you say PREGNANCY? I thought it was just me who was thrown by that, but based upon the previous comments, I’m not the only one. I know you are happily awaiting the adoption, but is there MORE Cooper Family news on the horizon?

  16. Annette   –

OMG, I totally need me a “space” such as that. LOVE IT!!!! And I am soooo glad, I am not the only one that had to reread that P word a few times. Hee-Hee!!!!!

Jenn, you are amazing. You can make a craft room look like a piece of art. I’m so jealous!

  18. This looks so lovely! I bet it would be sew much fun to get lost in creativity in a room with all those goodies around you. Can’t remember where you had asked for suggestions for your Etsy shop, but I’d love to help bring your baby home and buy 2 stripwork skirts size 5 for my girls. Some fun, funky, and bright skirts with contrast stitching would be fun. Not matching, but coordinating. Maybe some yo-yo’s (could be on pin backs?) out of the same fabrics to go with it so I could add them to tanks this summer since it’s probably hard to find tank tops right now.
